I have heard word about a new Emerson knife called the Blackebird. Can anyone tell me or post a pic of what it is supposed to look like. I also have heard of one called the Triton. If this is so somebody tell me something .
Thanks

These are literally the first pictures taken of the new Emerson models. The Triton and the Mini-Commander were literally hot off the grinder when they were overnighted to the Blade Show.

Mr. Hollinger- ;)

I just wanted to comment on the cool new avatar John

I'm still trying to figure out what the old one was...

:D

BTW: I want a Mini-C ....BAD !!!!!

(Here goes that "Hollinger" thing again! :))

Thanks Raye. I stole it off the cover of "Hagakure", but it's damn close to a Biohazard symbol. The old avitar is one of my favorite fish (seeing as I'm an avid SCUBA Diver), a Red Lion Fish.

The Mini-C is gonna smoke. :D

"Hagakure", I'm not sure, but doesn't that mean "man with no neck" in Japanese? :D

And yes... the Mini-C's will SMOKE!

Mini-C

Hey John:

Did you say that you were able to bring home a Mini-C from the blade show? If so, can you advise how it compares to let's say, a 2000 Commander in "feel"?

:D Don't I wish!

The feel is really only a tad off when in the hand. I will say that after drawing the full sized Commanders for years, the Mini-C did take a little bit to get used too.

When first attempting to draw at full speed I definitely had a problem getting a grip. It took about half an hour of interrupted practice to get it down 100%.

Let's just say, "Your gonna dig it". :D

I haven't confirmed the information on the web site, but it seems to be a good cause. http://www.founddogtags.com/ Supposedly, these folks bought US Serviceman's Dogtags for .19 cents apiece in Vietnam and are attempting to get them to the families of the soldiers that may have not come home. Can't hurt to look and see if you recognize anyone. Thanks
