Hello everybody, new emerson owner here. I recently picked up my first Emerson. A Vindicator plain edge in stone washed. After owning an Benchmade 710 since about 1999 a recently buying one of each of ZT0620 and ZT0630’s I wanted the real deal. I landed on the vindicator for a good EDC with good belly and V grind and slight recurve. So far i really love it. The fit and finish is good and the thing is razor sharp. The best part is the handle. Emerson really did a great job of designing it for the human hand. All in all i am very happy with my purchase and just wanted to introduce myself.

Not much talk about them though. That could be good or bad. Mine has tight fitting scales, great centering, clean grind and smooth opening. Also it is very well balanced. I don’t know what the haters complain about.

I think Emerson themselves may be guilty of stealing some of the Vindicator's own thunder, as it was preceded by the Patriot - it's hard not to see the similarities.

There is actually a whole thread about this on the first page called "I frickin' love Emerson haters". Some fun stuff in it.

And welcome aboard. I'm a recent fanatical convert myself.

I have really enjoyed the mini CQC 8 horseman for some time but I never get use to the chisel grind being on the left side.
But I really like the vision of emerson about knives and I may get a CQC 7 one day or the other :)

Like i said i can’t find much fault with the knife. Other then maybe the liner lock being sharp and grinding up my thumb that is about it. Looking at a Roadhouse mini next.
