New Ergo handle vs Fusion handle

This is a good one. While I like them both, I definitely prefer the new ergos. The palm swell on the fusion is a little large for me. The only fusion I own is a NMFBM, so I might think differently if I handled a few others.

This is impossible for me --- the new ergo handles have absolutely no hot spots, but the Fusion handles are aesthetically and functionally exceptional. I can't decide

x2 on the palm swell on the new ergo. I have a HHFSH with non mags that fit my hands well, but the old style magnum fusions are a little much for me. I wear a size large glove and the magnums just feel like work to hold on to.

Good input guys, thanks:thumbup:

Any comments on hands sliding back to the rear position while chopping on the Ergo handle? With my NMFBM, it wasn't a problem but with heavy chopping my hand kept sliding back

This why I like the straight handle on the ASHBM a little better than the NMFBM. Again, I think all of these handles are exceptional. The SHe2 is the only new ergo we've received that's big enough to chop with. I choke all the way back when chopping with it. Locks in nice.

I wear xxl gloves and I like the ASHBM handle much more than the NMFBM for a couple reasons:
1. It's plenty big enough and secures my hand better when using the knife for chopping. Again, 6'5", xxl hands.
2. I don't like the extra metal out the back of the NMFBM handle. For me it has no practical use and is needlessly stickypokey.

I can't say much about the new ergo handles, I've never held one.

I have chopped a little with the BAE2 and for a short blade it works well. I too use the back half of the grip and my pinky hangs off the back securing the hold. Works well and will out chop an Esee 5 using this method.

The SHe2's handle is about a 1/2" longer. Works great with a full handed grip chopping. If you like the BAe2, you owe it to yourself to track down a SHe2.

I apologize for getting off topic.

I have XXL hands, and the fusion handles feel comfortable, if not a tad too big. I am able to adjust the placement of my hand fore and aft, depending on the task I'm doing, and it does well for me.

The only Ergo handle I have is on a BAe. It is slightly cramped for me, but still feels good. I'm anxiously awaiting the BMe, to see if there is a difference in the handle size.

I'm betting the BMe2's handle will be the same as the SHe2. Here's the SHe2 compared to the NMFBM.

Pretty similar.

Thanks again for the input everyone.

I stupidly forgot to clarify, I am asking purely for chopping. Also the large Ergo handle like the She2 not the smaller handled Bae2.

Anyway, all my questions have now been answered so thanks again HOGs!

Well, I certainly liked my standard handle material on a .25 thick cgfbm I was lucky enough to handle. I'd say I like that specific combo above and beyond any other I've held. Aside from res c of course.

I am not liking the handle on the She2 It is thick all the way, compared to my CGFBM. I may try to mod the handle and hand smooth it. If the custom shop does not reopen soon.

I like the handle on the SHE2 but it is a tad longer than I feel it needs to be. The handle on my buddys BAE feels perfect in my hand.
