Ive been a Benchmade guy, but am wanting to purchase my first ESEE. Any recomendations on websites that deal ESEE reliably and good deals? Thanks

I camp, I work in scrap buisness, id get quite a bit of use out of it. Ive decided to move from a folder to a fixed, and I like the ESEE brand. just trying to find a trustworthy site

look at the dealer list on the eseeknives.com website all of them are good folks. i've ordered from knives ship free, the knife connection and new grahm with good service from all.

EDC? What blade length? IMO Must haves are Izula, Rc4 and Junglas.
Depends on Use. If you use it for work a Rc3 would work good all around.Pretty much need them all :)

If you need a good all arounder i hear the rc4 is the way to go

4 is a great all around blade. may want to start with an izula, tho if your just replacing a folder. knivesshipfree is my go to site> they are moving to Oregon this weekend and will be back up soon. when they were here in OK i would recieve my order within 2 days of placing it.

If you use it a lot at work and can carry then I would go with the 3, it has more handle than the IZULA.I am gong with the 3 or 4 next (still haven't made up my mind)
I got my IZULA from knifeworks.com they had the best price that I could find and a good selection, which ever one you get I am sure that you will like it

I too am a Benchmade guy. I carry either a 710 or a 707 as my EDC.

I just bought an ESEE-4. It's an awesome knife. Blade size and shape is perfect.

Here's a size comparison to a couple of other knives. Top one is a Bob Dozier KS-3, bottom is the often compared Fallkniven F1. One thing to note - in my opinion, the sheath on the ESEE-4 is far superior to the other two knives.

For an all-around knife, the 4 is almost perfect. If I were looking for a fixed EDC, I'd be looking hard at the Izula. I believe that blade wise - the ESEE-3 is really close to the F1 in size, but with a shorter handle. There's a comparison thread on here somewhere between those two knives.

Sorry to high jack your thread and especially with my first post in the forum, but I think this question might add to the subject.

I've noticed that most of the recommended sites in this thread have the Rat Cutlery versions of the knives but don't have the ESEE labeled knives. I'm looking for the ESEE-5 instead of the RC-5. Is there really a difference after the name change?h

Pricewise, it's going to be hard to beat Knifeworks. Even WITH shipping the RC-4 is in line with all the aforementioned dealers and even comes with the MOLLE back whether you need it or not. Don't need it? then it's even cheaper. I'm not knocking anyones' fav dealer, but dollar for dollar, Knifeworks is hard to beat! Just my experience & 2 cents.

No, there is no difference other than the logo. Built the same way, heat treated the same way and warrantied the same way:thumbup:
