hi,

picked up a new esee6 clip point yesterday and had some fun battoning wood and starting a fire, i'm thinking its my new favorite. i really like the clip for starting a fire.

also got a dead on tools annihilator, awesome all purpose tool. perfect for throwing in the tool box with my truck kit.

That Dead On Annihilator is a damn great tool! I carry one in my truck bed tool box for work. It's a lot like the Stanley Fubar but a little more versitle.

i have a Stanley Fubar that i keep in the truck. the Annihilator and a few other other tools that followed the Fubar have the advantage of not being the first version to market.

i'd love to see a "shootout" video of the various similar tools (there's at least one more version), but i can't justify running out and buying one of each.

one question i have is will it work to open and turn on a fire hydrant? other than some of the dedicated and very expensive fire tools that i've seen, the only tools that has a pentagonal wrench for a hydrant that i can think of is the Ontario Spax. but i've heard of making a wrench with some lumber and cord or wire to squeeze the lug and work a hydrant.

i've just never gotten around to trying the Fubar on a hydrant... the lumber wrench might work, might not.

any of 'em is a good tool to keep in the truck.

clip point looks cool but i dont like it as much as the regular

Oooooh.... I like that Annihilator.

ESEE-6CP is cool, too. :D All this talk on the ESEE-6 almost has me thinking I need one of those, too.

I've got a FUBAR in my truck also...hammer, prybar, grabber, smasher...

That Dead On tool looks great as well..where is it made?

The ESEE-6 CP getting such rave reviews is helping make up my mind between the CP and the non-CP 6.

it battons just fine, didnt have any trouble at all, yeah it chewed the end of the stick i was using to whack it, but so what i'm gonna burn that one too.

Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting an ESEE 6 for a while but couldn't decide between the regular and the clip point. Your positive feedback has helped me make up my mind. I also have got to have that Annihilator.

Holy crap, that annihilator is really sweet! I gotta Google that and see where I can get one. Don't know what I would do with it but I love it none the less!

Nice 6! I really gotta get one of those. How do you like the annihilator? Seems like its half the price as a stanley, is it half the quality as well?
