I designed this knife to be my new "Every Day Carry" knife. It has a strong back spring, and the liners have been recessed to give the blade a nice smooth action. The blade and spring are made from O-1 tool steel, and the scales are black linen Micarta. The bolsters, liners, and pins are nickel silver. Overall length: 5 1/4 Inches.

That looks very similar to the slip joint you made for me, which I carry on a regular basis. A great little knife for your daily chores.

Hey Dylan, It's pretty much the same knife as yours. In fact, I liked your knife so much that when I had an order to make a couple more of them, I decided to slip one in for myself.

The other two that I'm working on are about 3/4 finished each, but I had to get mine finished so I would have something new to carry to Batsons. The other two will have Buckeye Burl and Ivory Micarta scales.

A few differences between the design of this one and yours is that this one has a nail nick, one less pin in the scales, and recessed liners.

Thanks for the nice comments. -chris

I like It!!! Nice clean lines! It reminds me a little of an early Ron Lake folder. I like the strong crisp nail-nic and fine looking edge.

Thanks Guys. The knife is a slipjoint, and the nail nick was done with a 1 and 3/8" dovetail cutter. -chris

Talk about a pocket friendly edc, that's really nice. I have to follow your tutorial and try one, you do make it look easy. Dave
