Well, I got the itch and bought another Extrema Ratio, the MF3 Ingredior. This is the non- belt cutter model.

This one is definitely over the top, but still has that wonderful design that Extrema is famous for (just ask Dark Ops), but this one takes it to a whole new level! For some reason I am attracted to their Stealth-F117-evilblackknife-type looks. I also have their MF2 model, and this one is similar to it with the addition of an upper hand guard and the new penetration tip. The design is definitely polarizing (can't wait to see the comments :)) Quality is top notch as usual, and this sucker is sharp!!! I'll have to get used to the new tip design so I don't cut myself. This is the tanto model, but they also have a drop point. I didn't have a ER tanto, so I figured I'd mix it up a little.

IMO, I think they have the best clip design on the market, called the bridge clip. It wraps around the bottom of the knife, around and provides an ultra low ride in the pocket. Don't worry, it does have the cutout for the tungsten carbide glass breaker to protrude :D The secondary lock is overkill, but functional. Opening via the thumb stud, flipper or wave feature is smooth as buttah! The lock is a little tight, but I'll break it in. As I said, quality is absolutely first class, but should be for the price. :D

I gotta say, as usual with ER I love this thing!!!! It is indeed very unique, and right up my alley. So without further adieu... here are the pics!

All of my ER's... top to bottom... BF3 Dark talon, Nemesis, MF3 and then MF2... Aren't they pretty?

I keep thinking about the Talon.
I have the Nemesis, MPC, and BF1.

I should carry the BF1 more often. Handy little knife but not flimsy.

Looks indestructible but I prefer their small ones (forgot the type #), they seem quite practical for edc.

I am strongly thinking about picking up a MF0 or BF1 for EDC. The four I have are a little to evil for the pharmaceutical ops environment. :) I use say though, and I can't say it enough, the ER bridge clip is the MOST discreet around.

The ER have only one problem........ the price.

Is not right that a company such as ER, build models with the same steel and the same Handle, changing only the form and they do pay so much.
