Hello!

Just learned that Swedish knifemaker Fällkniven has come up with new good looking models, check it out here: http://www.fallkniven.com/g1/g1.htm G1, H1, K1, K2 are totally new models, the S1 is now available in black (didn't know that!)
Really like the looks of the G1, Peter Hjortberger has done it again!

Maybe there's hope for Sweden after all

Gee, Jonas...
Not the type of knife one would expect from Fällkniven. I guess Peter is going for the US/International market big time. That knife would DEFENETLY be considered illegal here in Sweden. But on the other hand, so would my Al Mar SERE/Attack dwelling in my coat pocket...

X-actly my thought too.

But i like it...
How do you like the Al Mar?
I got my Emerson Commander and La Griffe, they too might be illegal...but i'm a legal guy so

I really like that the kitchen knives are teflon coated, "tactical kitchen"??

Hi there!

I think the Garm fighting knife will be selling quite well in the US.

I am getting quite nostalgic now

I recall myself buying an EKA folding knife and a EZE-lap diamond sharpener from mr Hjortbergers family company Fallkniven in 1987 or 1988, when I was only 13 years old. Back then he had his business in his own house in a village in the vicinity of my hometown Gellivare. It was like entering paradise for a kid like me, a big room with the walls covered with various knifes. I was fondling some double-edged Gerbers but I couldn't afford them...

It feels good to have a reputable swedish knife company.

2Sharp, a friend of mine was interested in getting a Fallkniven knife but heard that they are really made in Japan? Are all of them made in Japan?

I like the looks of their knives but a Swedish knife would have more appeal to me than one made in Japan, though there is nothing wrong with knives made in Japan, as I have several and they are great, but the idea of a Swedish company having the knives made outside Sweden boggles my mind and so it stops me from getting one right now myself.

As far as I know they are made in Japan

But at least the steel is supposed to have its origin in the swedish iron-mines.
