So I acquired a new CRK this past weekend, and Sebenza 25 Micarta I purchased off of the sale forum. I have to say that I am really liking this knife and it gives a totally different experience than my CF large 21. In comparison it is heavier and feels more heavy-duty. The thicker blade, better jimping, and improved grip with the micarta were just what I was looking for.

Overall this is my 5th CR knife and I've tried to get a maximum amount of variety in the different knives. So I have a few different sizes, different scale materials, and different blade shapes. I really like them all but I think the Insingo blade shape is my favorite along with micarta scales. So a 25 Insingo Micarta would be just about perfect!

Great looking collection you have there. There is a wide choice of different materials to choose from. I love the micarta inlays.

Awesome Variety! I want a 25 micarta badly lol also can't wait to get an insingo blade. Congrats on the new addition. You have a great little collection.

Very nice, friend. The 25 looks great! I am a big fan of the knife above it as well. :)

I almost bought one of those. I like how the shape of the Micarta is so different from the 21.

That's a very nice variety of CRK's you've collected so far.

I was a huge fan of the 25 at first and still think that it's a great knife, just not for me. It doesn't fit my hands very well.

My buddy bought a micarta 25 and it's a completely different animal than the standard, it fattens up the grip just enough to feel right in my hands and the extra size lends it self to the over all tough quality feel of the knife.
I don't think that the inlays change the feel of the 21 as much as they do the 25 and don't really want them on the 21 unless it's going to be a safe queen but after holding the micarta. 25 I wouldn't want one without the inlay, it really makes it a better knife.

Congrats on your latest purchase, it was a very nice one.

I thought the 25 micarta was ugly until I saw one in real life at a local knife store. I was shocked at how much better it looked in person.

Needless to say it went home with me, and it is still one of my favorite knives. Beautiful yet so robust at the same time.

I have a micarta 21, and it is a great knife that has grown on me more and more over time, but it seems more like a "gentleman's knife" than the 25 does.

I'm probably incorrect in that assumption, for it is a proven design, I'm just sayin.'

I'm not sure what the difference between "ugly" and "not ugly" micarta is. While I might like it better if the micarta was a single piece instead of two strips, I think it looks fine. I have this same criticism for the micarta 21 Sebenza. At least the 25 does not have the useless hole in the scale.

Those curve micarta slabs looks......ok,if not so ugly then not so nice compared to the 21 inlays, which IMHO looks way better!

Why not just use one piece of micarta without any gaps between?

To me it's like using scraps instead of whole micarta piece.

In my opinion either the 25 is a stepping stone model to the next improved Sebenza or an entirely separate knife of its own that deserves it's own path. The new pivot is a step backward not forward. Not sure what Chris is thinking. At least, why shouldn't the 25 have the pivot bushing? Comedic conclusion: I use my 25 more often than my 21 and I beat the hell out of my 25. CRK FOREVER!!!!!!!!

I too wish the 25 had the classic bushing pivot - crank it down and slide it in the pocket. What could be better? That said, I do love my recent 25 pickup, as well as the Large CF Insingo (just like the OP's). Overall great variety within your collection TechDoc.
