As a few of you might have picked up on, it was slightly difficult getting my Assault Shaker from the danish police!
But now it's here and – pardon the expression – in active duty!:)
There were two, but the other one is a for a friend who should receive it tomorrow!

Anyway, there has been quite a change in the house since I got it. The little critter is scaring all my other knives and they are all (not that many) hiding it seems!:)
This knife is friggin cool!
It's so easy to carry, either around the neck or in a pocket.
The kydex sheath has a good fit, the knife is securely retained and my only complaint is the kydex making slight marks in the coating!
So…..I am off to town to find some leather and make myself my very first knife sheath!
I am so glad my wife is a nurse, since I usually hurt myself when trying to do something like that!

Almost forgot, of course there's a pic of the knife!
Here ya go…fresh from the garden!

Thanks for all the support through my ordeal with Danish bureaucracy!

Bo

That’s a great pic Bo, I keep mine in my front pocket,I never leave the house without it. Beats a folder any day.
In fact I liked mine so much, I have two of the little buggers now.
A desert and a black one.:D :D

Ian,
Not a bad idea with one more and it does beat a folder!
I carry a small SAK too for the times where using a fixed blade (even of this size) will freak people out!

Bo,
Glad you finally received your knives!!! and that you are happy with them!!:D

Shaggi

Well, no sheath today, as I couldn't find any leather in town!:grumpy:
I'll make another try tomorrow or order some from elsewhere.
Meanwhile I just tried the AS in the kitchen, cutting some turkey for the grill. I didn't expect it to perform too well on meat but boy, was I wrong!
Fantastic little knife!!!

Thanks Shaggi!
My best to Kassi, Jerry and the others for all the help!

I'm glad you finally got your knife!
I'm wearing my Shaker today in a new sheath from Dwayne "leatherman". It's a great design and it's got a funky name that I'll let him introduce. Fits great even with a paracord wrapped Shaker.

Thanks stripey! Didn't have any suitable leather, so I'll have to wait until next week with the sheath.
Could you post a pic Dwayne's creation? Wouldn't mind a bit of inspiration!;)

How did I miss this thread? Congrats on finally getting the knives.....what shall be your next challenge? a Mistress maybe? :D

Hi DN!

Thanks brother! Well, last year I bought a BK&T Magnum Camp and it was labeled "kitchen knife" on the customs slip! Sailed right through!
Of course it's a lot less frightening than an AS and there was even two of them!

Next challenge? Dunno yet, but could be an AD, Tank Buster or SH. I think I'll buy from Pork Linnemeyer this time!
We are both in EU territory, so packages between countries are usually not screened, while everything coming from the big, dangerous US is!
I know, better stop thinking about it or my head will start hurting again!

Bo, I still think Warren’s idea was a good one. Just rock up there with the kitchen knife block, and try forcing them into it.:D :D

Indeed Ian! It could be quite fun actually! "Ungh...oompf....sorry officer, I think this must be a knifeblock for very thin knives! Yeah, sure they are kitchen knives! See, they even have a no-slip grip and that thar everlasting teflon coating so they are dishwasher proof!":D :D

Hmmm....Jerry, are there any plans about a Busse knife block ???:D

Here ya go, if you need a piece by piece breakdown I can do that, I would love to see someone els's take on these!:D

Thanks Dwayne!
Looks great and much more elegant and well thought out than what I had in mind!
Hopefully I'll end up with something that's usable, but I am a complete novice and will have to practice a bit!
If I fail (not too unlikely) what would you charge for a sheath like that?
