After looking for a small fixed blade for several months I decided to buy a RC3. Having read ALOT of outstanding comments about RAT knives, I was very skeptical...what's so special and so on. Well I tell ya, I LOVE IT!!! Great fit and finish, hair splitting sharp, comfortable in my hand, excellent steel, worth every penny, it just "feels right". I have to say i'm a skeptic no longer, just had to say KUDOS to RAT for making such an outstanding knife, it WON'T be my last RAT!!

curious - did you buy online or find a storefront carrying them - if hard sided store, where? I don't have any near me and would like to handle an RC6 to see how it feels.
 
good luck man. i was in the same boat in the last month. then i finally bought a rc-3MIL. less than a month later, i have an rc-3mil, 2 izulas and an rc-6 in the mail.

rc6 is hard not to like. I'd order one, and in the rare event it doesn't fit you, they're not too hard to unload on eBay
 
Congrats on getting the RC-3, great choice for a first RAT (not that picking ANY RAT wouldn't be a great choice) I love RC-3's (all 4 of them). The 3 was the knife that sold me on "smaller knives doing big jobs", and it was my choice of blade for doing the PSK contest a while back. Welcome to the addiction.... errrrr pack :)

Rat 3 is what I am considering for my first model as well. It seems like a solid starting point and the size is just right.. although the RC-6 is catching my eye sitting in that sexy rat pack
 
Join the crowd, I just did also...with an RC-5 Rat Pack and the Izula or RC-3 is next.
