well i had and order for a fancy razor again and this is what happened

deker hammered Damascus 1095/15n20
spalted maple burl (from AKS)
and blue anodized Ti
i still have to hone her but this blue eyed brunet is 15/16 from edge to spine and cutting edge will be just under 3 inch when honed
i used 1/8 inch pivots that mickley had on his site
all screws are 2-56

Your design has come a long way man.
That is one very refined tool.

i should have another one ready ether by weeks end or mid next week thats slimmer and a little more fun shapes wise :D
different blade size and handle style right now its all about having fun art deco ish style

that is truly a wicked razor. the damascus is nice....the burl is my favorite. I love the design. As a personal preference, I don't care for the blue Ti but I'm picturing the razor with grey Ti "in my mind" and I love it. :)

I'd love to see you use more damascus. the damascus (very dark) you use here would look great with some antique ivory looking micarta to set it off. One of your frame locks would look bad ass with that combo.

one of the off the side razors i need to be planning is a Damascus and real ivory with gold pins job:eek:will be gettign scrim worked after im done

Straight razors have always been on my to do list, but have yet to do it, but this is a really fine example! Well done:thumbup:

Looks nice Butch. I guess I have to get back into the shop this weekend and hammer you out some more steel huh? :)

-d

i ll use more steel if you pound it out (if i wasn't going out of town i would try and help too)
