New fastener question...

I was wondering...

Will the new t25 fasteners be able to fit the old knives? I would like to get a few sets for my gen 2 Knives.

This is an awkward one to answer. In theory, yes, the new fasteners are the same diameter as the old ones and will fit in the same holes. However, the fasteners heads are different, so they won't fit in the handle countersinking the same way. The handle contouring is also very different between old and new. So the new GSO-4.1 fasteners won't fit the old GSO-4.1 handles. There might be another model's fastener that would work, but there would have to be a lot of time spent in figuring that all out. As you all know, time is not something we have to spare around here.

Thanks for the answer on that one. I didnt realize the contouring and head size would be different.
