Just finished this 0-1 skinner today. I think this will be a reoccuring pattern for me......6.25 overall. I'll enlarge it to 7" for general public. I have smallish hands ;)

I think 7 1/4" overall may be a better size for this one....I have had good input from the shop guys at work. Nothing like hands on input...

Thanks for looking.

Very nice!! That puppy turned out well. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks Burch. I am to the point now where I can not fret so much about my deign flaws such as a little too small here and a little longer there. Thanks for the incourgement.

Pretty nice, guy! Kinda between butcher and camp chopper. A real buffalo pup, so to speak. It looks sharp, too!

Sharp she is! I am going to increase the pattern size and see what that turns out like. I like the size now but it may be small for some. That is what I struggle with the most. Trying to find that one size fits all ratio.....

After some use I think 7.25" will be a better overall size....Since I used scrap for the initial one there is no loss..and everything gained :D

I cut out a larger pattern last night @ 8.25". Hell...I like every knife design in some way.

I tell you what though...Having this thing be small it sure is a breeze to make sure you have it. It rarely gets in the way on my side, and is small enough mot to bring any attention.

My wife says she like the smaller one best. Her words are..."Its just so cute"....

:D

For some reason when I click the attachment BFC tells me to take a hike and won't show me the picture. Anyone know what's up?

Not sure whats going on Chiro.

Click on the link in my signature and you will see the knife on my homepage. Its the first knife....on the backpack and with the watch.

I'll send you a bigger version. I have a 3" blade, 8.25" overall in the temp oven now....It needs a 4" blade I think. The one in my picture is what I made with scrap so its like a neck knife size. Small enough not to get in the way....
