Well, it finally arrived.... My Kerambit. I am instantly in love. It is a beautiful knife - absolutely amazing. Pic is on the 7/1 best buys.

The weight is fantastic, the workmanship is amazing. My only complaint on aesthetics is it looks like when the finish was put on, it was put on unevenly, as it appears... spotty... sort of molted or dalmation-like. A beautiful finish with a whole bunch of slightly less shiny tiny dots about the size of the head of a pin. That said, it doen't really bother me... makes the knife more unique i think. I tried polishing it out and such, thinking it might be the oil on the blade or something - no such luck.

Anyway, i haven't had a chance to use it yet, since it just appeared on my doorstep.

It feels great in the hand, and it is definitely my favorite HI so far, beating out the 12"UBE and the 15"BAS i already have. Thanks to Yangdu and Lachu again!

Those kerambits are really nice. Good score:thumbup: I have one from the first run made by Kumar, and I carry it often:)

I have that same type of thing of some of my HI blades. You can feel it with your fingernail. Feels like ligth rust pitting that got scoured before the shipping oil was put on.

The problem is most likely the oil, just wash it off and it'll look great. I got miner just a little while back waiting to writwe a review till I get back from taking it backpacking. I do however carry it regularly at this point.

Ooohhh Yes, those babies rock... In the process of tricking out the twins and will have pics up once they are done...
