Today I went into the woods to testdrive my new cg Ash1 and was very impressed...The Ash1 kicked ash (very powerful blade)

I thought the birdsbeak would be uncomfortable while chopping but it was not.
The HHFSH and HOGFSH have been my favs until today and still are as easthetics are concerned but....because of the compact design (for lots of chores) of the Ash1 and the (chopping)power this is now my new favorite "user" Busse. Thanks Jerry (and crew) for this wonderful blade.

GREAT pics!!!

I'm waiting for my HOG ASH1 to be a user ...
come on Boss... BRING IT! :D

Looks like you had some fun with her....
can't wait to get mine.

Thanks for the pics!

.

Oh, and it is also a great thrower:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Sorry no vids this time:o

Sweet pics. Can't wait for mine. Just got the FFBM today, so I guess that tides me over...

I love seeing Busse Blades being used for what they were designed to do.. This spring, my objective will be to build the finest expedient shelter out there; but all done with my a Busse.. Yes, there will be pics! I wish I had pictures of the rafts, shelters, traps and goodies I built with my old Steel Heart II that is now retired. I bet the Vietnam vets out there wish Busse had been around during the late 60's with something like the FBM or an ASH1... the jungles are where these knives would be KING.

Erik, awesome blades. Never thought this would beat your HHFSH and HOGFSH.

I didn't expect this either but this is a very compact powerhouse kinda knife.

Yesterday I was able to check out the LE at Wookies home and the LE is also awesome but I think from a users point of view an SFNO with mags is a better choice (if you can find one;)). The SFNO has the same grip but it sports a little bit bigger blade.

In my opinion for the Ash's the cg is the better deal compared to the LE
But, I like fat ash (big butts) an I cannot lie.....:D and now I'll submit my reply...

Awesome pics and classic color combo! It's good to see one in it's natural environment. :D

Thanks for the great shots, now I'm saving my coins for one of those. I have a LE that probably wont get used, so a CG is next on the list.
