From Fiddleback poor to Fiddleback rich in one week
My Nessmuk and Bushfinger arrived and my wife surprised me with the Kephart for my birthday it came in yesterday.
I’ve been eyeing everything over detail wise have to say I’m pretty impressed with the workmanship put into these knives. Really don’t see a single thing I could gripe about on them.
I really like the 1/8” A2 blade stock used it’s more than enough strength to handle any task you would do with knives of this size. Never understood why some makers use heavy, heavy blade stock on a 4” blade knife just way overkill.
The handles are ground/finished beautifully and wow they fit very nice into my hand. If I had to pick a favorite handle shape/fit wise it’s the Nessmuk for me it fits like a custom made glove.
I can see why the Bushfinger is so popular also just a perfect size, weight and blade profile for general outdoor use.
The Kephart I used alittle yesterday I had to work a evening/night shift. I made a few feather sticks, cut some notches plus some light carving. I like it’s handle shape best of the three for working wood it’s feels alittle fuller in my hand yet still contoured.
Still need a lot more time using the knives for a final opinion, however I like what I see and feel right now.
Sorry for the bad pic just a quick photo better than no photo anyway though.
