I just finished this fighter for a fellow forum member. Please let me know what you guys think of it. Specs are:
Blade: 6.5" O1 steel
Handle: 5" cocobolo
Fittings: mild steel except the thong hole is Stainless

Thanks,
Ray

You' ve just made a true bada$$... But this one is "undercover", dressed in a smoking suit...... I like.

I like this knife a lot, but I do have a question/critique. When I think of a fighter, I tend to think pointier than this. This blade shape seems to be more of an all purpose shape to me. Don't take this negatively, as I love your work, but maybe make the next fighter a bit pointier? :)

Thanks guys. Danbo, I know I tend to make my points a little wide. I just can't help it- that's the way I pictured the knife in my head. You're right, fighters should be on the pointier side. I have to train my brain. The knife does penetrate pretty good and has a thin edge that cuts really well. I also tend to make the ricasso a little long.

I agree that the ricasso could be shortened up just a little bit. For a fighter it could be a little bit pointier, but I really like the overall profile as it is. I'm only making these comments because I'm very impressed with your fit and finish judging by the pictures, and its obvious you could make these changes on the next one without any trouble if you wanted.
Minor design tweaks like this come down to opinion and while 6 people may want to see a change, half a dozen will tell you to leave it as it is :D
Keep up the good work

The points about the point (hmmm, does that sound off...) are valid, as it applies to the general idea of a "fighter" but I am really warming to that blade shape, as on your previous knife (10-incher).

But still this is a very handsome knife. I like how clean the lines are and your fit and finsih looks really sweet. Jason.
