New "fighting" knife?

What you are looking at is the reason why Camillus only needs 15 people to run their plant. One word : IMPORT!!!

Well, if this is a sample of the quality that Camillus is thinking the American buying public are going to find exceptable I think they are in for a surprise.

That looks like something in the CTD catalog in the 3 for $15.00 section or the gun show tables full of 3 for $10.00 Tarpoon Bay folders (these do make great yard work knive for weeds in the grass...just toss'em when dull).

They could always get set up with the Knife Channel do the Mall Ninga's have a bulk way to buy their knives too :D

Doesn't anyone from the management read this forum?

Very sad indeed.

I actually bought a knife or two that Camillus had made in China.:o :o That is what I get for not paying attention.

All I can say about them is they aren't even good China knives. They are the cheapest of the China stuff. Not much better than the Pakistan stuff of the 1980s.

Are you sure that this is Camillus???????? Do you have it in your hands and see the writing, fishing for foul I say. Did anyone ever think for one moment that there are things out there that someone(s) want you to think.
Have you ever heard of calling companies when you see something new and aren't sure it something they are coming out with?
Seems to me that if a company was going to put something new on the market they would advertise it somehow and have it known it was made by them?????

A valid point observerq. I suggest that someone ask the seller about this knife. Perhaps he is trying to cash in on the sudden collector interest in Camillus knives?

In this case, you might be wrong. Their website is woefully outdated, showing many patterns we understand are no longer produced or stocked at Camillus. Camillus has, for many years prided itself on the moniker "The quiet giant", refering to their lack of publicity. They seldom "toot their own horn". The lion's share of their production has been for other companies, private labeling for both cutleries and retailers/wholesalers, and an important part of that business is keeping the knife's origin a secret. Perhaps you might ask Camillus. Include a picture of the knife in question in your request for info and clarification.

I said my piece in the "Strike is over!" thread. Instead of kicking and American company why dont you buy a few good American Made Knives from Camillus. Give the company some CPR (Camillus Pride Reinstated) and revive the company.

dammit now camillus = junk. glad i got a few beckers rat holed. What crap pure crap makes me sick to see this.

Something tells me this is not a Camillus knife. I see ton of junk on the auction site advertised as brand Y and brand X and it's usually not what it's claimed to be. I wouldn't be so quick believing everything I see.
