im in reeanactments and i was talking to my bud dave from my unit. he was telling me i could clean up really well if i made some csa d-guard bowies. so im set for cash now!
so i just got back from this little mom and pop shop with a fist load of files and a broken socket chisel(medival spear point ). i got a bunch of these high carbon files that wer all rusty and chipped. the shop owner gave me the funnyest look when i slapped about 10 huge files on the counter! paid about 4 bucks for them too. so if i charge my usual $15 a blade i should do good at the next tactical of national.
curiosly ive seen a bunch of smiths cut the ball of their ball pein hammers, these resemble japenese swordsmith hammers. does this increase proformance somehow, or are these just just trying to be traditional?
