I finished this one over the weekend. I should have a chance to see how it does on some crappie soon.

Steel; 15n20
Handle; black micarta with red and black liners
Blade length; 8 1/8"
Overall length; 13"

I took it to Ben Seward's and he showed me how to bend kydex.

Unfortunately photo bucket is acting up so I can't show the kydex right now.

Comments and critiques are appreciated.

Turned out awsome, Chris. My only critique is that it isn't mine;)

Great looking knife Chris, lets see a pic of the flex in that bad boy. Nice plunge lines and the handle looks quite comfortable. Great job my friend.

Thanks Kris. I hope a shot I took as I was making the knife will work, because I don't have the knife with me right now.

Chris, that is nice! Very Nice!

I do like a good fillet knife & used a couple I made a lot over the last 5 days.

Glad to hear you got some time on the water Don. Did you go to Reelfoot? Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Mark. I am looking forward to seeing it in action. We have been having unseasonably cool weather with frequent rains. If the weather gets closer to normal I may be able to get on them next weekend.

That should perform as well as it looks. Very nice design, good flex and a good sheath should do you well. I will add, however, that that rig looks more suited to salmon and halibut than crappies. But that might just be me. Enjoy.

Bob, thanks for the compliment. I kinda like that it should be capable of handling all those tasks. I have a six inche blade design as well that will be made next. The guy that I will be fishing with and who will be doing the field testing is a commercial fisherman and cuts fish 5 or more days a week.
