A client requested a fillet knife with a double guard so that he could more easily use it blade up or down. This is what I came up with.

Specs:
Steel: ATS-34 Mirror Finished
Blade Length: 6 3/4" from plunge line
OAL: 12"
Bolsters: 416SS Mirror Finished
Handle: Blue G10
Pins: 416SS & Mosaic

It's kind of difficult to see in the pic but the blade has a slight upsweep at the tip.

My customer wanted the straight line on the end of the bolsters and also blue g10. I was initially skeptical of this but now that it's done I like it.

Thanks for looking,
Sean

Thanks Sam.

Ya I was happy with the way it turned out. I was initially hesitant of the guard and also of using blue G10 for a fillet knife but in the end it worked.

Another nice one, Sean. Well-thought out and a great looking fit and finish, like your other knives. I'm personally not taken by the straight line on the front of the bolster which doesn't gel with the oblique line of the back of the bolster and the very curvy lines of the overal profile. But thats just my own taste. Jason.

Thanks Jason.

My original plan was for the end of the bolsters to be curved so that the tops of the guards were a little exposed. The next one of this design will most likely have more of a shapely bolster.

Hey not that it matters but my customer is in your neck of the woods, ie. he's from Australia. Well he's closer to you than me, he's from Western Australia.

Take Care,
Sean
