New finish - something pretty cool.

Not sure how else to title this thread?
These are some pics of a slip that I made which has a 'Venetian bronze'
finish on brass liners and bolsters. It is a hard coat finish set in the brass.
It's a dark brown/black with red flecks throughout. It's really something to look at.
I think that it adds a lot of character to the knife. What do you think?

Sweet ! Is the finish permanent though ? or does it wear off after time.

I like it, Mark. Very unique look. With the weight of brass, it must feel solid.

It would make for a nice escutcheon: when engraved it would look dramatically like gold inlaid lettering. :thumbup:

Look’s really good, I’d bet it would look especially good on knives with that old time patina! Engraving is definatley a cool Idea.
