New Firestorm bowie - taking my time on this one.

Yet another Firestorm personal-carry / compact bowie-style piece. I've taken my time on this because of more new methods used on this knife. The blade is again clay-backed but oil-quenched again, using esoteric techniques. You should be able to see a double hamon in some areas with "pockets" and utsuri ( a "ghost" hamon just behind the actual hamon. Steel tang frame contruction gives this one a more solid feel in the hand - it balances just behind the guard near the index finger.

Its hard to see the tang extension except in the details photo. Sorry for the over-bright pictures. Thanks for looking. Jason.

Being a hamon freak, of course I like it a lot, never underestimate the power of a really good hamon, or, similary, a really good ham on rye...

I think I'd prefer less pins though, but that's just my tastes. Nice knife!
