new flat grind on VG-10 Endura/Delica

I must admit at first I was skeptical of the new flat saber grind on the VG-10 versions of Endura/Delica but have come to love it. The cutting performance is simply phenomenal. The difference might not be huge, but it is there. My main worry was over possibly the long-term resharpening; that the blade might thicken sooner. But that would take a very long time if at all.

BTW, I still prefer the SS Police and FRN Rescue in their hollow grind, but find the flat grind is indeed working great in the Endura and Delica FRN. Combine that with the excellent VG-10 steel and that is true evolution.

The problem with hollow grind is that the more you sharpen, the faster the blade becomes thicker. You might find that initially, it's still pretty thin, but then the thickness grows exponentially.
If you want cutting performance, try the Flat grind salsa.
