I still haven't decided on a finish other than the polished one that is on it now. I thought about doing an overlay but decided against it this time. I may beadblast it. Let me know what you all think and have a great Thanksgiving!

Not too shabby at all...the clip echoing the front of the knife is a cute touch :)

Peter,
Did you try the Phospor Bronze bushing material on this knife? Looks like we have another mass maker to watch out for! Great job! I like th elines. Are you going to the NCCA show on sun?
Chuck

Thanks for all the kind words guys! I had a lot of fun making this one. I forgot to mention the blade length, 3" and OAL is 7 1/2".

Chuck, I didn't use the metal washers on this one. I wanted to try teflon. Still not sure if I'm going to the show on Sunday but I'll let you know if I do.

Nice folder Peter! If you have access to a hear treat oven you could heat color the frame real nice. I have a book that says to set the oven at 1200 degrees and once it's there, put the cleaned ti in. The longer it stays at 1200 the darker it gets. You can get some nice blues and purples or gold if you're careful.

I might heat color the next one Michael, or anodize it. I'm planning on doing at least one more of this design and maybe a smaller gent's version as well. Here's another pic of the front side:

Peter, Im impressed! Great styling and workmanship. I think some of that dead elephant tusk would look cool as an undersized overlay on the side opposite the clip.

looks great i like the way all the lines flow . i think you might have found your calling! i love it!

You guys are too nice! Thanks for all the complements and kind words. Bruce, I thought about the ivory overlay but then decided that I just wanted this one to be plain. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and hopefully the next ones will be even better. I'm getting a new grinder from Rob Frink very soon and I'm thinking that will make a world of difference.

Peter, that's a great knife! With an eye like that, you're on the track to ... well, the appropriate state of being eludes me right now, but great personal satisfaction, that's for sure. I sure wish I could do that.

Zowie!

Thanks for sharing.

Dave

Everything zen??? :D I think that's the lines along which Dave was speaking.

It looks awesome Peter!!!

There are a lot of things going on in that knife that I think most people wouldn't quite appreciate...but for those of us who understand how it went together we sure do!

Lots of great little touches that show it's hand-made and carries pride in craftmanship.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the great comments (blush)! They are MUCH appreciated. Also appreciated is all the help I've gotten from all of you on forums who have tirelessly answered all my questions. I truly have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!:)

WOW Peter, that looks great! I really like the lines on it. Can't wait to see it in person.
