Here it is - in all its deplorable 'beauty' ; )
V Nives Jerry Hossom Deplorable Flipper Knife 3.92" AUS-8 Satin Blade, Blue FRN Handles

Personally, I think they named it aptly - that blade shape looks like a mess... maybe I don't see the light
what does everyone else think? ... this is different enough that I expect a lot of different reactions

it seems Hossom started his professional knife making in 97... 23 years ago, so not really 'young'... I guess he could have been 20ish when he started, but most likely 30ish

It looks a little bit like Hossom's blade style. I wonder:

1) If he was involved in the design process

2) If so, how much involvement was there?

Or, is this one of those "inspired by" situations?

v nives must have paid him, his name is there... but he's been doing collabs with 'outdoor edge' out of denver recently (which I believe has a bit of a mixed history if memory serves)
...
they could all be using the same oem from china, who knows?

The blade looks like a Norseman but slimmed down, there are worse names, “Black Void Opus” for example

Jerry Hossom is awesome. I love his designs and sense of humor.

I don’t know what to think about the knife pictured, or how much input jerry had on it. The handle looks like 10 miles of bad road to me.

It’s political, self-deprecating irony. Kind of like the perverse pride of bikers who call themselves one-percenters.

One thing I've found while in this hobby is that many people enjoy knives that aren't even very usable as knives. Crazy compound (nightmare) grinds, I mean how would you even sharpen it?

This isn't as bad but, still bad. Maybe I'm just old and grumpy? I'm not even 40 yet...

Jerry has a style all his own and you know one of his blades when you are looking at it! His customs are gorgeous! As for the collaborations, well the only one I like is a fixed blade by Fox knives that looks like that but bigger. Just under a 6" blade and my favorite , green canvas micarta!!! He was on Blade magazine's cover a while ago! It was a knife and a hawk for a sub captain!! Pretty stuff!!
Boker did one too, just looked cheap to me.

I know JH has a style, but that blade looks like it should be turned upside down. I would buy a ticket to see someone sharpen it the way it is now.
