My first folder with stag and my first use of bolsters (started this one before the monster flipper :)). It has a 3/16-thick blade of 1095 with a flat-ground, 3-inch cutting edge. Overall it is about 8 1/2 inches and has wrought-iron bolsters with a heavy etch. The wrought iron came from a large piece of anchor chain.

Now for the "Monster" :D

Specs: The blade is .180, hollow-ground 1095 and has a 5-inch cutting edge. It stretches a bit over a foot open. It has IKBS with blued carbon steel bolsters and spalted maple handles. The .090 ti liners are orange-peeled.

Love the meat cleaver look of the stag handled folder. A little bigger than what I'd carry but awesome !

Burchtree, I've been watching the evolution of your knives and am very impressed. Both knives are tough though I like the stag folder specifically. You are making a good name for yourself and it is well deserved.

Nice work. But you forgot to make a point on the stag handled knife!:p;)

Great looking work.

What I really admire about your stuff is that you always are creative even when you branch out to different types of knives.

Thank you all! The flippers can be tough (for me), but very satisfying to finish. :)

Those are some awesome looking flippers. I was impressed looking at the first one with stag and wrought iron bolsters and I was even more impressed with the spalted maple one.

Great looking knives.
