Hi all.I'm looking for some suggestions for a new folder.I want something around 4.75 to 5 inches closed, light weight for ease of carry. The blade should be good for general purpose use,but have a tactical side to it also.Pocket clip is a must. One hand opening/closing a must also.Price range under $100.Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Spyderco Endura with the new VG-10 steel. Way under $100 and a great work knife!

BM Axis AFCK (806) or 910 HS. These usually go for a bit over $100 on the net, but you can find them around, NIB/LNIB for less than $100. I am partial though, because I own the 910HS and love the 806 and have one on the way. These knives are also all black, giving them that tactical edge you are looking for.

You can find a new Military or Starmate on e-bay for less than a $100. Those are two of my favorites, FWIW.

I just got one and it's great. Good looks plus functionality! Slightly over $100 but well worth the extra. CRKT M18 or M16 are good for the money.

Thanks for all the replys. There are some nice suggestions.I was cosidering the Spyderco. One knife in particular that I saw on a site recently is the Taclite made by Buck.I did a search on it and it seemed to get mostly positive reviews.Does anyone have any experience with that one?

I recently purchased a Cold Steel Voyager medium tanto on eBay (the newer style with the metal clip) for $35 + $5 shipping. This is an awesome little knife for what I paid for it, a very solid built piece. I also see the large Voyagers on eBay from time to time, they would be more the size you are looking for.

BTW, I also see the clip point versions for those who don't like tantos

The man DID ask for a "light-weight", but I suppose that the REKAT Sifu isn't all THAT heavy. However, the "under $100 price range" might also pose a challenge in obtaining a Sifu (even a "used" one), AND both of MY Sifus measure about 6.75 inches closed, so that is way over the 4.75 to 5 inches specified.:).

I think they might have been discontinued( or will be?) but I've been real happy with my Benchmade Pinnacle (750S) got it for $102 . Its 4.75" closed, 3.6" ATS34 blade, Ti handle. Not real lightweight, not eal heavy. My only complaint is the thumb ridges can be hard on your pockets.
