This has been in conception stage for a long time. Finally had time this weekend to put it all together. When trying to find names for knives I really suck at that. But this one really deserves a cool name. I have always enjoyed Greek mythology since my high school days. ( for those that want to know that was in the early 70's). Anyway I was looking for a name that came out of Greek mythology and came up with Chariclo.
(KHARIKLO (or Chariclo) was a nymph of Mount Pelion in Thessalia, the wife of the kentauros (centaur) Kheiron (Chiron). She was the foster mother of many of the great heroes of Greece including Akhilleus (Achilles), Peleus, Aristaios and Asklepios.)

Open length 7-3/4" / blade length in front of bolster 3-3/8" / closed length 4-3/8". Twist Damascus with matching bolsters. all the hardware titanium that I anodized gold to match the ivory. (sorry I could not get that to show up in the pics).

This one is slated for the Seattle knife show coming up next month.

As always comments are welcome

Hi Bruce, Looks like you got this folder thing figured out. This is a nice looking folder, great Damascus. See you in Seattle.

I love it Bing. The steel looks great, as does the whole design. Can't wait to put some finger prints on it. :)

Good story for the name too. I had no idea you were so educated in Greek mythology. ;) :D

Was trying to think of something witty to write, and failed. Rats!
Love the knife Bing! Really nice.

Bruce, you sure hit it with this folder. Nice materials, looks well balanced and fit to hand.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm looking at doing some other adaptations of this model. Maybe a flipper with a pocket clip:eek:

Love this one, Bing. Are those scales dove-tailed? Wishing I was going to be in Seattle to beat John at putting my paw prints all over it ;).
