I was going through a new wholesale knife catalog and I saw a illustration of a new Emerson folder. It was called Triton and said it was due in Fall. From the illustration the folder looks like it uses a different lock.It looks something like the Axis but has no info as to how it works. The only thing written about the folder is.
"EM TRI due fall.Emerson 4 15/16" Triton X-39,154cm premium steel satin finish spear point bld w/t-stud,aircraft-grade hard anodized aluminum hdl.Retail $262.80
There were also 3 other models.one had a black blade and the others had a part serrated edge, and the same in black again.
If anyone has any information about this model please let me know.I would especially like to know about the lock.I've done a few searches and looked under Emersons site and have got nothing

Sorry I just realized I was'nt in the Emerson Forum. Can the moderator please move this to Emerson

Well,

If i remember correctly, the triton is the new automatic that emerson is coming out with. So it's not an axis or anything else like it. Somebody else either back me up on this or correct me.

Hey guys, the "Triton X39" was first mentioned right here on the Emerson Forums back in June. The Auto and Manual versions of the Triton made thier first appearance at the Blade Show in Atlanta.

The button is both the activator and the plunger lock on the auto. The Manual version has a thumb disk and the plunger lock.
