I have always really liked the 277 Folding Alpha Hunter (Rosewood) with 420 steel that I’ve had for several years. This knife is just built like a tank and fills the hand very well. A couple weeks ago I was on Amazon.com and saw that they had the Folding Alpha Hunter with 154CM steel and Rosewood handles on sale for $60 but they weren’t in stock yet. I placed my order because I felt for that price and quality steel it would be worth the wait. The knife arrived just the other day and I love it. I have no idea if there is much difference between the ATS-34 and the new 154cm version but I would have to think that the 154CM is a nice step up from my 420.

That is a sweet looking knife, KLJTech! Thanks for sharing it!

I'm very happy with the 278BK and 279BKs I have, so that rosewood-handled version, along with a 154CM steel blade, really grabs my attention! Definitely, it's a step up from the rubber-handled models with 420HC steel, though, I am in no way knocking Buck's heat treatment used on 420HC....

Buck just seems to keep coming up with better and better knives...! ;)
