So I'm perusing the new Ka-Bar 2015 Catalog that Dex was so kind to send me. Thx!

Guess who's on the inside cover? The BK-5 in survival mode! Yeah baby!

BTW, I don't think the 4, 5, or 15 are going anywhere anytime soon cuz they're in the Catalog.

And ... Whoa! Wait! WHAT THA?!

Page 11, new for 2015, the BK-32 Clear Coat Campanion?!

Clear coat?! Embossed with a Becker logo?! and comes with Green scales!?!

Is this thing at SHOT?!

Sick! Now to buy the scales when the knife goes live.

those handles scream "lose me" :D

was waiting for Ethan to tell me, but maybe even he doesn't know ;)

early catalog reviews are essential?

It does come with a cool tan sheath too.

And I am also pretty sure the green scales are a different shade green than what comes in the 4 pack.

I think I like this green more. :D

okay, now post pictures of fish!

I noticed this the other day when I dowloaded the PDF catalogue, was thinking to myself it's a bk2 with lime green handles. Wondering what the clear coat is.

I am not sure if I like the green scales but I love the tan and black sheath.

One thing to take from all this change is that it seems Kabar is listening to us! This will also help with "why are all your knives black" comebacks when I show people my pile of Beckers.

By the pic in the catalog I'm guessing Ka-Bar is doing something like Kershaw's trademarked "black-wash" finish. I'd say they're calling it "clear coat" to avoid a copyright issue.

Saw it at SHOT. Got a quick pic. I can post latter.
a little loud for me but to each his own.

If Clear Coat means basically a knife with out the black coating, I would be very pleased t see this expanded to a wider choice of knife models

I have basically reached a place with a full set of knives Beckers for all my needs
But if Clear Coat had been on offer, I would have purchased them instead of the black coating

Interesting... Being that I don't have a 2 yet, I'm looking forward to seeing how the blade looks and I definitely know that my BK10 would look nice in that sheath.
