It's going to be a fun week.

I guess I'm waiting to get the rajah 3. Edit Did my Research doesn't seem much better than aus8a.

Will the recon 1 series only come with a black blade or will we see uncoated blades as well?

With the steel upgrade you guys are the odds-on favorite to clean out my wallet this year. Bring 'em on, CS!

Ill be waiting until they hit dealers. Truth be told this was a company i stayed away from for many reasons. Ill be buying my first cold steel product this year. Im really digging the kbit

Looks like a promising line up. I have wanted a folding karambit for awhile, but never pulled the trigger. This one looks like it will be my first.

I do like the look of the Karambit and I'm sure I'll be buying the serrated version when it comes out. However I'm disappointed by the other "new" releases I've seen because they're just the same knives from the past, some of which I already have, but in a more expensive steel. I'm sorry Cold Steel has drunk the kool-aid about so called better steels which make absolutely no practical difference to the buyer but obviously kicks up the price.

I swear I was just thinking a few weeks ago about how awesome a Tri-Ad folding karambit would be. Very nice

You don't have to buy them...I doubt they're replacing the AUS-8 versions

I certainly hope AUS-8 isn't going anywhere. I love it, and CS has been using it for forever. It's sort of a CS tradition.

My main dealer has the AUS-8 versions of these knives on closeout and listed as discontinued.

I guess BD1 is going to replace AUS-8 then. I wasn't sure, but I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Ah, well. Perhaps the Carpenter steel will turn out to be a good analog. I'll have to try it and see how it compares.

It should have better initial edge stability, but might not hold an edge quite as well. Gets screaming sharp very easily.
