I have never posted any pics before, but I am gonna try today. I just took pics of my MT's, Balisongs, and other various and sundry knives (SAK,Pen,Razor(very old!!)

I am not quite sure how to upload the pics.

Can someone email me back and let me know how to do this?

TIA,

You can not host your pictures here at bladeforums.com. You have to host them somewhere else and then you just give the forum software the URL of the picture as part of your post. When someone reads your post, the forum software will go and get the picture and add it to the display.

So, first you need a host. You can e-mail your balisong pictures to me and I'll host them on my site. Another good option is www.photopoint.com or one of the other "online photo album" sites. Inasmuchas I am master of my own domain, I don't keep up on these sites. Others who are mear cyber tenants can probably chip in with some suggestions. If your goal is put pictures in the forum, be sure that the photo hosting site you choose supports that. Some decline requests from forum sites.

Once you've got the photo hosted, you need to know the URL to it. You add the picture into your post by using a special code that cues the forum software to fetch the picture. I can't tell you what the code is because if I put it in my post, the forum software will spot it and try to retrieve the picture. So, what I'll do is ask you to imagine for a moment that curly braces, these characters { and }, are actually square brackets, [ and ].

The code is {img}theURLtoYourPicture{/img}

Remember, to make it actually work, you'd replace the curly braces with square brackets and theURLtoYourPicture with the URL of your picture.

For example:

{img}http://www.balisongcollector.com/mainGallery/dobruski4S.JPG{/img}

would, if I used square brackets, produce this picture

dobruski4S.JPG
