I just retrieved this beauty from the Postman this morning.

I met Dale at the Chesapeake Show in Timmonium, MD and ordered a shorter version of his AMD-2 for the Blade Show.

When I found out that I wouldn't get to go to Blade I asked him to ship me the knife when it was ready.

The pictures don't do it justice and dealing with Dale was a true pleasure. If you are able to go to Blade I encourage you to stop by his table.

Now for some specifics:
Blade is forged 1095 and you can see the differential temper
Handle is Desert Ironwood
Sheath is a dangler style that tucks into my right front pants pocket while clipped to the belt loop for discrete carry.

I made sure that I was logged out of the Webshots Server as a member before copying the image location. Hopefully it will work this time.

I'm getting the dreaded "Red Xs" - ket me know if I can help with the pic.

Looking forward to seeing it - Dale does nice work.

Nice little hunter.

I get the red Xs as well, but if you paste the URL for the photo into your browser's address box and hit enter the pictures will show up.

I agree, Dale is a great guy. I have a hunter he made for me and I use it quite a bit in the kitchen and outdoors. I have larger hands and Dale was able to make a handle for my mits and it has really grown on me.

I have had a great time forging the blade and Scott was a gem for sure.
He will be in Alaska for the Bladeshow (great B-day gift from his wife) and will miss the show. The Bladeshow should be a great time for all of us, so stop by my table N-26 (way in the back) and say hi.
