It can't be! A non-tactical folder from the Jones Brothers?

I am calling this one Silverback.

Very nice Barry. Will you be bringing some of your folders with you to Atlanta? I would love to get a closer look. Keep up the great work!

Barry,
NICE!! Just curious.....Do you have wood on the other side?? If so, how is it shaped around the lock arm and clip?? As I SLOWLY get into folders, especially framelocks, this is something I'll be addressing soon!!
Those are PURTY

I like those, in my opinion every folder maker should try making framelocks. Truly superior locking system.
I wonder how much one of those would cost,
and which blade material do you use?

Barry,
Better watch it. Next thing, your new models will have sub 3" blades and you'll be calling them gents knives.

Dave

P.S. Let me know when you do. Those Silverbacks looks great!

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Phillip and I both thought it was high time we put something on the table that wasn't totally tactical. Something with a little color to it. It is very refreshing.

NCBlades,
We will have several folders on the table in Atlanta including 3 of these.

DrLathe,
Yes, there are overlays on both sides of the frame. They are shaped the same on both sides. Stop by our table (25-J) in Atlanta and we can discuss it a little further. I have an idea for a folder for you that has been in my head for a couple of days. You might be interested.

dsvirsky,
I have a gents folder already designed but at this point I just don't have the time to get one made.

Now for the specs:
model - Silverback
lock mechanism - framelock
blade steel 5/32" ATS-34
blade length 3-7/16"
length closed 4-1/2"
frame .090 6Al4v Ti w/ brushed finish
nylatron washers
ambidex thumb openers - made them myself
frame has an open back - normal for us
overlays - top one is Amboyna
lower one is Desert Ironwood
I still have to put a pocket clip on them. It will be a small version of the Benchmade style clip. It will be tip up carry.

I have 2 sets of stag scales left, one is now designated for this model. When you get back from Blade, we have to talk.
