Hi there, i'm a new member in this forum; i live in France where there is a poor interest in knife in general, and if any, it would be for traditional french knives.... hewww! :thumbdn:: :thumbdn::thumbdn:
For whatever reason, i'm more into the american culture, at least for my toys: I Love Big watches (own a few...), I ride a Harley (had several over the years...) and of course i LOOOOVE American knives; As a lot of you guys i started with a CRK, then came the first Strider and the Hinderer, just to make sure i had, at least, the few essentials.... Then my OCD expanded and i found interest in a larger range of knives, from the simpler Kershaw to the custom RW and SBW (as of yet...). Along the road Spyderco became my favorite brand, but i have the higher respect for the overall quality of SOG knives which is underrated, but in the same time the esthetics of their knives isn't as sexy as Spyderco, Benchmade or even Boker that i grew also fund, especially for their Awesome collaborations with Anso, Vox and Blackwood.
Well i'm rambling, when this was supposed to be a simple presentation.... sorry about that.... i'm out of here and hopefully i'll get a chance to learn more with you guys about our passion in common...
Gentlemen...

You don't like opinel's? Opinel's are my favorite food prep knife.

You gotta love Opinel!!! they made such a great achievement with the simpler knife ever made declined infinitely in colors and lengths, but only one single shape!!!
Add to that an ingenious locking system.... you got a winner!!
Granted, the full flat ground makes for an excellent slicer, and at that price range, you won't be afraid to use and abuse it!!!
So yeah... hurray for the Opinel!!! but it stays in the kitchen and in my kid's outdoor bag-pack, but not in my Pelican case...
