my 2nd small 21 clip point (1st is S30V), the 3rd one with the insingo (S35VN)

S35VN 2012
started as a CF,seller swapped it with a insingo scale and sold it
I bought it (good price, lowest I paid for a folding CRK)

Cool score, congrats.

I have a small CF and was curious if I could just pop on a TI scale instead. Took the TI scale off my other small 21 and put it on my small CF. The tolerances were a bit off, detent became really weak. As if the blade that comes with the CF is just a little thinner than the stonewashed full TI blade. Then I tried putting the CF scale on my full TI small. That was even worse, the blade wouldn't even open because it was so tight. Keep in mind, both these instances I just switched the non locking scale and nothing else. Could've just been my two sebs though, maybe slight scale variances in mine.... who knows.

Not trying to be a downer or worry you, but just check it out real good. Compare the detent and lockup to any others you may have.

I had no problems at all with the scale swap, both knives operated like new. I really can't understand why the detent would become loose or the blade would be too tight, it is the inside of the scale doing the work of pressing against the washers and bushing. Very odd. Maybe one of the members who have made their own scales could chime in with a thought.

Maxx, I hope you enjoy the knife when it arrives, I have attached a picture of its opposite number. If there are any problems please let me know!
