Hi everyone, I wanted to share some grabshot photos of upcoming and future Maxpedition products I got to see at the SHOT Show in Vegas:

Let's start with the Jumbo, a larger version of the Fatboy that will come out this year in an S-type body

Here it is compared to the Fatboy, shown upper in the pic

It's great, cuz I can't tell ya how many times I think, geez, I wish my Fatboy was just a little bit larger.

As you can see, this prototype has a water bottle mesh pocket on the side, but that might change for more attachment points. It has locking buckles, which is pretty darn clever! Also, the final version may have a big pocket on the back, that lies against your body, that can fit a firearm!

Got some more pics later!

Thanks for the pics. Looks like they'll have another winner on their hands!

Hey AJ, yer very welcome!

OK, here's the Monsoon, It's a one-strap over the shoulder pack:

Cool! The Monsoon looks really nifty, but I think I'll pass on the Versipack Jumbo. Sure, there are times when I would like my Fatboy to be a bit larger, but it's just the right size most of the time.

Thanks for the pics! :)

Sorry Steven, it was just for the photo! I had hoped to run inta you, the only knife I brought to Vegas was that 921 I got from you.

Here's some pics of the Typhoon, another one-strap over the shoulder pack that looks great!

Yer very welcome, FoxholeAtheist!

I dig the Monsoon, can't wait to try one on. Been waiting for Maxpedition to do a flatter, messenger-type bag (with the ever-present tactical interpretation).

On first glance, the Typhoon appears to me to have all the disadvantages of a multi-buckle backpack, including inconvenience of access, while also having the all-weight-on-one-shoulder disadvantage of an over-the-shoulder bag.

I like the look of the Typhoon, mebbe because it looks like my Falcon, but easier to get to with the sling design, but I dunno what the load distribution will be like with this format. Can't wait to spend more time with these packs!

Is that an S-type you are holding in the pic with the "Jumbo?" If so, that may be the bag I'll buy to replace my disappointingly short-lived Lowe/Alpine EDC waistpack (just can't quite bring myself to call my man purse what it really is).

Also, what's the story on the Devildog? Anyone have one? Seems like a pretty good setup to me: mesh bottle/whatever pockets, excellent waistbelt with lumbar padding, plus the added versatility of a shoulder strap.

Any thoughts?

Typhoon looks interesting. Jumbo Fatboy might be too cumbersome to have under my arm? (I haven't even filled my Fatboy up yet) :)

Jumbo looks great, I haev wanted Maxpidition Fat boy but many times I think it is little too small. Do you have more specifc release date for the Jumbo? thank you

I think it will be out by June.

That Jumbo looks pretty good, but I stuff my Fatboy with so much stuff now I would hardly be able to walk with a bigger one!

Hi All-

If I'm going to use a bag that rides on my back like the Typhoon pictured, I'm going to want support that is offered by two straps. That arrangement offers no advantages that I can see, unless they're targeting the groovy hipster demographic.

Nice pics. Will the shoulder strap be detachable so that you can switch to right or left-shoulder carry? It looks as if it could but I'm not certain.

I'd have to agree with this assessment. I don't quite follow the logic of it. It looks like it would be fairly uncomfortable to wear, especially for any length of time and if it had lots of stuff in it.
