I didn't know about any of these new Timberline knives until I got my catalog from Blue Ridge today. Some of the offerings look pretty cool. Thought I would share the pics and specs with you guys to see what you think. First is the Timberline Lightfoot Zambezi:

*Disclaimer*
I have not handled these knives so I can give no opinion on fit and finish.

**Disclaimer II**
I am a dealer but this is NOT an add! I do not have any of these knives in stock and to be honest with you I'm not sure when they will be available. I am merely passing along some information.

***Disclaimer III***
I am not affiliated in any way with Timberline or its subsidiaries.

fine print: I can't believe I beat Dexter in posting pics of new knives !!!!

Dennis,

It sounds like some dietary supliment that'll keep ya regular :)

I will try it if there is a source for it!!

Dennis - you're OK in my book. Since you're a fellow mod here I know you know the rules. Yup, you got me beat! And since I'm not going to SHOT (again :( ) in '02 I will be even further behind on the new stuff. Anyway....

Thanks for posting the pics! Man, the Worden Supreme looks awesome!! I love the regular Worden, great bang-for-the-buck folder. The improvements really make it a nice looking factory knife. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. OTOH I do have one of the Zambezi's. The knife itself is pretty good and is heavy duty but the sheath is waaay too much IMHO. Too many bells and whistles on it for the average user. Even to this day I haven't bothered to figure it out. I wish they went with a simple molded sheath without the leg ties, etc.

Thanks Dexter. I was afraid it may be construed as an advertisement. One of the downsides of being a part time dealer. :( I saw the pics and thought I would post them. They look so interesting.

Do you know anything about the Mini Pit Bull or others that are mentioned?

Do you have any pics of the Zambezi sheath?

p.s.

I couldn't help but rub it in a little. Not to often one beats you to the punch! :D

Dennis - last time I spoke with John Anthon @ Timberline he was able to fill me in on the Terry Treutel knife and that was all the new stuff he was able to tell me about. Tim Herman's knife is going to be an upscale folder, as the name suggests. Lightfoot's Mini Pitbull sounds interesting, though I've no info on this.

I might have some pics of the sheath of the Zambezi sheath. If I can locate them I'll post it.

Got any more new products advertised in the new BRK catalog?? If so, fire up the scanner! :)

Dennis - here is the sheath for the Zambezi. The large button you see locks the knife in. To release, push on it and pull out the knife at the same time. Very nice fit.

The nore I see that Zambezi, the more I like it. The blade shape is awesome. And I'm happy to see more knives with COLOR on them instead of black, black, black.

What are the differences between the regular Worden and this new one? As far as I can tell, it is only handle material! I don't really know much abou the regular Wordens, so please fill me in.

I think the blade finish is different as well. It is satin instead of beadblast.
