One heck of a knife. Biggest fixed blade I own. Here are some pics. Yes I put a Rat in there for some comparison of just how much bigger the FSH is. I thought I was buying a big knife when I bought my Ratweiler, but it now appears small standing next to the FSH. I also wanted to show off how big these Magnum handles are. I'm really pleased that I got the Mag handles. It fills my hand quite nicely. As was told to me by others on another thread that I would not be dissapointed with the 1/4" over the 5/16", everyone was right. I can't imagine needing anything bigger. Now wanting something bigger is another subject.... someday! Thanks again for all the input.

Those are some great photos. Is that the Black Magnum canvas?

They sure are. They didn't look any where near that dark when I got the knife. In fact they looked grey with only a slight black flake in them. After handling the knife ( couldn't sent the darn thing down ) the handles started to darken up. Especially on the sides. I'm thinking it may have been from the natural oil from my hands, if that makes any sense. I'm even toying with the idea of heating them up with a heat gun and putting some "sno-seal" on them. Thinking it may even darken them up some more! Right now I'm enjoying the natural color of the black canvas. Really like the look.

Thanks guys for the comments. First reply was from the Busse man himself, how about that! Got a serious chest banger out of that! Yes I did! :D

Nice. I'm going to have to get around to posting mine. Thanks for the pics. I wish we had more pics showing the magnum handles a long time ago.

Cheers,
BJB :D

Solstice, you have good reason to be happy. The quarter inch thick Busses are more toughness than most of us would ever need in 3 lifetimes. If or when you get a 5/16ths version of the same knife, I think you'll find that the one that always ends up going with you on whatever excursions you take will be the old 1/4"er. I see the role of the 5/16"er as more of an M-1 Abrams crew egress tool, for when you need to make a new hole to get out.

Solstice,
Great pictures.
You don’t realize how massive the FSH is until you pick it up, it’s some knife.
Ian.
