I have several knives with G10 handles. I have a Emerson that I've carried nearly 7 years and the handles still have texture but aren't as much as a new one. So I have a question...has anyone every taken a very low abrasive sand paper to there handles to speed up the process just to knock the edge off? The only reason I conjured this idea up is to make the knife easier in and out of my pocket. Thanks

Yes, many people sand down g10 so it's easier on your pockets. You could do it by hand or use a dremel if you'd like. Just make sure you're grinding the right spot:thumbup:

Definitely! I have seen a lot of ZT 200's that look massively better IMO, after their scales were sanded down smooth. I like G-10 that is smooth better than textured if one has to have G-10, I dislike G-10 in general, but the Hogue knives with 'G-mascus' are pretty cool actually.
