Didn't take long but you know how that wait is. Painful. Was well worth it of course. Here's my first (of several I expect) GEC knives. This immediately gave the Case Saddlehorn the boot. The quality and value is top drawer and I put it to work straight away.

I like this model knife; prefer the spear point. That knife looks like it's ready to work for a good long time. Congrats!

The #15 is a popular pattern, and with good reason. If you're like me, you'll use it and before long find another GE you'll want to take for a test drive. It's a slippery slope, but what a ride! Congratulations on a great pick :)

That knife is hypnotically gorgeous. So simple and clean. I keep telling myself I do not need any more knives. But I keep thinking about this one.

Would it be possible to post of photo of this one in the closed position? Many thanks in advance.

That is a beautiful knife. The 15 was, indeed, one of those "hypnotically gorgeous" knives that blows you away the first time out of the tube. Enjoy!

I like the knife, my preference is the clip blade, never got into the spear points, but that is one (of many!) of the good things about GEC, they put out a varety of blade shapes in each pattern. Steven

I don't want to answer for the OP, but that appears to be patina. I might be wrong though.

Man those are great looking knives and I much prefer the clip point blade especially on this pattern. I don't know why but I just can't get into the spear blades as hard as I've tried I always return to my favorite the clip! :) Great picture OP thanks for sharing.

Great Photo, and terrific knife! One of my favorite things about the single clip blade #15 is the ability to pinch open the blade with my fingers. I have the TC version in Gabon Ebony wood, but your post is making me consider one of the Boy's Knives (either Smooth Bone or Cocobolo Wood).

Thanks for sharing!

That knife has been on my short list for awhile. I'm still torn between the single and 2 blades version.

I have a single spear point blade 15 and a double blade clip point. Now I want a double blade spear point. And maybe even a single blades clip, ha ha. One fine knife or should I say razors? Man these knives will get Sharp.

Yes, they will get very sharp. However, I really appreciate the attention to detail beyond that, such as well-centered blades and nice walk-n-talk. Steel liners is also a nice touch.

Charlie did us knife-knuts a great service by working to come up with this pattern. I was fortunate enough to receive one of the barlows two days before my grandson's birth: his first knife. I was doubly fortunate to receive a second for myself. They both belong right up there with my Schrade-Waldens and pre-1970 Case knives, their quality in today's production is unmatched.

Thanks, WayNorth, and when my grandson gets his one day, I'm sure he'll say the same.
