new GEC #42 question

Just received my new GEC #42 in the mail.
took it out for inspection and noticed a little front to back blade play as well as slight [very slight] side to side blade play.
Is this normal for these knives ? or should I contact GEC and have it sent in ?
 
Welcome aboard! Speaking for myself and what I've come to expect from them, going by the three I have I would say no that's not normal for them! Contact them and tell them about it.
 
The 42 is on my want list, but I don't have one. I do have a fair amount of GEC products, and I too vote for contacting them.
 
I sent them a email this morning and got the reply about a half hour ago :eek: talk about a fast and on new years eve to boot!
I'll be sending it in to them for them to take a look at it. Its a great look knife and im sure my impatience will get the better of me waiting on its return.
