Well I could resist no longer thanks to all the enablers on this forum. Decided I would like to try a couple GEC knives to see what they were all about. Ordered 2 from KSF and they arrived cross country in 2 days.
Initial impressions, all I can say is WOW, just beautifully made knives, perfect fit and finish, tight without being difficult to open, positive blade stops, all blades seems very sharp.
Ordered the #56 Weaver Jack in Mexican Bocote and the #15 Huckleberry Boys Knife in Ebony.
I love the solid feel of the Weaver Jack in my hand, will probably become my daily carry, KSF threw in a nice leather slip case so I won't worry about damaging it. Only problem I can see is possibly with my bank account.

Nice duo! If you can't get the job done with that 56 then you've got your hands full! :) That 15 is very classic - the essence of the most basic pocket knife.

Those are some nice knives there, Augie. Good choices. Trust me, they won't be your last GECs.

Welcome to the addiction, you've started your collection with two greats. The 15 is my favorite pattern.

Very nice knives. Great start to a GEC collection of ebony.

Thanks for the welcomes. Already trying to figure out what will be the next one, luckily my wife likes the same stuff I do. Just gets a little more expensive as I will have to get her one also.
