My new GEC Northfield Yellow Rose Single BladeTrapper arrived from Collector Knives today. A lot of you fellows seem to be getting the GEC Furtaker Trapper knives and great knives they are but I decided to go a different route and get the single blade trapper.

This is a big knife. It is 4½" long with the single blade being 3¾" long. The handles are smooth yellow bone. The fit and finish is very good and the knife is tight. The blade has the ½-stop feature.

EDITED: Both pictures are pictures of my new knife. One scanned and an outside shot.

i have that model in several handles. sure is a good heavy worker. my current carry is red spiral buffalo, you are going to dig this knife.

Mine is in Banana Peel Smooth Bone but it is a heck of a knife. It came with me one afternoon busting hay bales, it performed flawlessly and the 1095 kept a fantastic edge.

Congrats you got a great knife.

Nice pics of a great looking knife!

+1 on the smooth yellow bone handles!

You're right about the great swedges, and a nice rose shield, too. A beauty!

with the bevel releived a little these are great slicers & acute bevel will take quite a lot. this is my favorite pattern , guess i might have to jump on the 23 y.r. since they are so pretty.
