Picked a non-Pro-Line 120 General brand new from a dealer that claimed they was made up special for them. It comes sharper than the old one we had long ago. Is it the same knife as the Pro-Line marked ones, just not marked? How do these 120's differ from the ones made say in the 80's? (that was the last one we owned)

These are made of 420hc steel. They have a different grind and angle
on the edge. They are easy to sharpen. Thats about it.:D
I have both and I think that you are going to really like them.

Sixties through 1980 they were made with 440C
81-94 or maybe 92 it was 425M. Its been 420HC since.

Thanks for the information, I know these newer ones are a lot sharper than the older ones we have. They came shaving sharp and not just barely but not even touching the skin shaving.
