He is one of my favorite reviewers on youtube. He's clearly a full on knife enthusiast unlike some 'other' people on youtube. The videos aren't ridiculously long and he's usually very fair.

Sounds like he might have got one from the old QC team but at least he was pleasant about it and wants to let HTM correct the issue. I'm hoping that he will post update videos.

I'm in the comments trying to perform damage control before the morons on youtube see he said it had vertical play and proceed to freak out. I thought it was an excellent and fair review given that usually vertical play kills any objectivity.

I've wanted to pick up a GH but all the ones in the store had up and down play. Nothing against the knife, I love the handle feel and the blade shape and steel (xhp in the ones I looked at) but I didn't want to buy a knife brand new knowing I was going to have to send it in.

So, if there is better QC at HTM and these problems are in the past, I will look forward to picking one up in the future.

The other thing to keep in mind is that HTM has fantastic CS. So even if you get one from the old QC team, they'll take care of you.

He just posted and update video:

At first everything was great but after a week of playing with it and used it the thumb stud bent from the spring assist firing so hard. I knew they were supposed to fire hard but maybe that is just a little too hard.

I posted a comment suggesting he request a maxx glide version.
