I just got my first Great Eastern, a Northfield Moose in Red Hangmans bone. I am very happy with the quality, this thing is a beast of a slip joint. Locks up tight with some serious snap but opens easy enough, and the half stops are really nice. Needless to say I am trying to choose another GE tonight online, probably a Pioneer pattern, but there are so many great ones to choose from I can't make up my mind. I ordered the GE through CollectorKnives and the sheath from KnivesShipFree, excellent CS from both. Come to find out CollectorKnives is located in the same state I live in, and I had the knife the next day. Doesn't get much better than that. The pocket sheath is great too, I will be getting more of these. Here are some pics, I wish my camera showed the crisp and clean grind lines on the blades.

I have one of that same model. I think it's a great knife. Also, the later Moose knives reversed the blades, so the clip was the "main" blade instead of the spear.

Your pic's look great! I purchased a Tidioute Moose with a brimstone handle.
They sure are a skookum knife for sure, mine takes two men and a boy to open.
I'm really hoping it will become easier to open in time, otherwise it will not get much pocket time.

Nicely done. The Moose is the best knife GEC have done to date. Nice bit of bone on that one :)

Let me also compliment your pics. Good stuff.

And a heck of a knife too. Somewhere Nessmuk is smiling. :D
